Submit an abstract and present your research in Madeira! The EECERA Annual Conference offers a fantastic opportunity to present your work to a supportive research community from around the world. We’re calling on all our members and the broader ECEC research community to get involved. Our 34th Annual Conference will focus on “The Development of Agency, Participation, and Democracy in the Digital Age” and will be held in beautiful Funchal from August 25 to 28, 2026.
Authors are invited to submit up to TWO research proposals* for presentation, with three different presentation formats to choose from:
Self-Organized Symposium Presentation – A group may propose to organize three papers and appoint a chair. The symposium is allotted 1 hour and 15 minutes to present its work.
Individual Paper Presentation – A traditional short presentation – 20 minutes, plus additional time set aside for discussion and questions. Individual papers will be grouped into larger symposia by theme (selected by the scientific committee).
Poster Presentation – Combining text, graphics, and the opportunity for dialogue with the author, a poster presentation is ideal for those who want to maximize the visibility of their work and network.
The deadline for proposal submission is 23:59 (GMT) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. *Each author may submit two proposals:
A proposal for an individual paper presentation OR as part of a self-organized symposium;
A proposal for a poster presentation.
